Liver cancer
A malignant tumor of the liver. Depending on its histological structure, liver cancer is divided into hepatocellular carcinoma, angioplastic sarcoma (angiosarcoma), hepatoblastoma, hemangiosarcoma, and cholangiocarcinoma.
Symptoms of liver cancer:
- general fatigue
- severe weakness
- feeling of heaviness in the right subcostal area
- weight loss
- digestive disorders (diarrhea, vomiting)
- bloating

- high body temperature
- jaundice (yellowing of the skin, sclerae)

Risk factors:
The likelihood of developing the disease is influenced by:
- cirrhosis of the liver
- hepatitis (alcoholic, drug-induced, hepatitis C, B)
- infectious liver diseases
- chronic biliary diseases
- hemochromatosis (iron metabolism disorders)
- parasitic infections (opisthorchiasis, amoebiasis, schistosomiasis)
- overweight
- smoking
- taking anabolic steroids
- aflatoxins
- constant and prolonged contact with carcinogens
